Run end-to-end sandbox booking, payment, and routing tests without live side effects.

Test mode is Proper’s isolated sandbox for validating booking, scheduling, routing, and payment-related flows without mixing those records into live operations.

  • Test records are tagged and isolated from live views by default.
  • Most test-mode actions avoid live customer billing, workforce offers, and payout side effects.
  • Exception: workforce team-invite emails are sent in live mode even when initiated from test mode.
  • Only owner/company admin can switch into test mode.
  • New onboarding accounts currently default to automated scheduling in test mode, while live mode starts manual.
  • Catalog and many company settings are shared across modes even though operational records are mode-scoped.
